Visitor Restrictions

Attention Visitors: Restrictions are in place at St. Joseph's/Candler due to respiratory illnesses

Effective Monday, Dec. 22: Due to a high volume of respiratory illnesses diagnosed in our region, St. Joseph's/Candler has issued visitor restrictions at all our facilities, including our the Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion, offsite campuses and physician offices.

  • For the safety of our patients and for the safety of your children, children under the age of 18 are not permitted to visit any patients at St. Joseph's/Candler.
  • Those under the age of 18 cannot visit patients at the Telfair BirthPlace at Candler Hospital unless they are the primary caretaker.
  • If you have not been vaccinated for the flu or have any symptoms of respiratory illness, we ask that you wear a mask.
  • If you feel sick or have any symptoms of respiratory illness, please do not visit patients at St. Joseph's/Candler.
  • Symptoms include:
    • Fever (100 or more)
    • Cough
    • Sore throat
    • Muscle/Joint/Body Aches
    • Headache
    • Nausea/Vomiting/Diarrhea

     

Have you gotten your flu shot yet? One of the best ways to prevent getting the flu or not getting seriously ill is getting the flu shot. You can get vaccinated at any of our primary care or urgent care locations.
